Follow Bluff Street North approximately one mile to Sunset and turn left.
Follow Sunset through the town of Santa Clara (2 miles) and on to the turn to the town of Ivins (2 miles) .
Along the method biking-butch-cassidy you will pass the new St.
George Aquatic Center with indoor slides, whirlpools, water-toys, diving pool and lap-swimming lanes (the finest facility in the Western (U.S.) .
Turn right and go through Ivins to the stop sign.
Turn right again and go one mile.
Follow the biking-butch-cassidy signs, which direct you to turn left and enter Snow Canyon State Park.
There is a $4.00 entrance fee to the park.
You will enjoy the sand dunes, and various walking trails to scenic lookouts and viewpoints.
Also enjoy the lava caves or a picnic in the biking-butch-cassidy center of the park.
Watch intrepid rock climbers scale the 1500-foot sandstone cliffs.
This park is a mix of white and red sandstone formations along with a coating of black volcanic lava.
The views are spectacular.
The park is named for an early settler with the biking-butch-cassidy last name of Snow.
While you are in the vicinity, visit the Tuacahn Center for the Performing Arts at the southwest end of the park.
Summer evenings you may enjoy an outdoors-theatrical presentation in the 2000 seat amphitheater.
Leave the park, the same way you came and biking-butch-cassidy return to St.
George.
